Uckfield Concert Brass enjoyed performing the music from films and shows at a concert last night to raise money for St Peter and St James Hospice.

The wonderful acoustics of St Andrew’s Church, Burgess Hill, and the enthusiastic audience made it a fun evening for the band.

The concert featured solos by Andy Bamford on flugel (The Way We Were) and Owen Radley on bass (Bare Necessities), along with other familiar numbers, such as Star Wars and Super Man, and compilations from Mary Poppins and Frozen.

Many thanks to guest players and to Sarah Leeves, who conducted the concert at very short notice. Thanks also to bass player, Trevor Smith, who compered the event.
