Concert raises £261 for local hospice

St Peter and St James Hospice confirmed this week that Uckfield Concert Brass had contributed £261.30 to its funds.

The money was raised by the band’s  stage and screen concert at St Andrew’s Church in Burgess Hill in February.

Carol Hughes, the hospice’s community fundraiser, said:

“Please pass on our warmest thanks to everyone involved and to those who contributed”

“It was a really great concert – I really enjoyed it and can see how much energy, passion and commitment goes into making such a great evening of music, and the audience did really enjoy it.”

The hospice, based in North Chailey, needs to raise £2.6m per year, or £7,200 every day.
