Uckfield Concert Brass headed the town’s St George’s Day Parade this morning for the first time.

The band played a selection of favourite marches, including Standard of St George, Slaidburn and Sussex By the Sea.

Several hundred youngsters from uniformed societies including  scouts, guides, brownies and cubs followed the players up the High Street to a service in Holy Cross Church.

UCB accompanied the organ for hymns and then led the parade back through the town.
