UCB players turned themselves into bears, birds and butterflies for an animal-themed concert with Harlands Primary School and Cornerstone Church.

The band donned animal masks, cats ears and tiger bow ties and a model dinosaur joined the cornet section.

The programme featured Saint Saens’ Carnival of the Animals, with a specially-written narration read by Bb bass player, Trevor Smith.

Husband and wife, Neal and Ann, played Rossini’s Cat Duet on cornet and trombone. Cats also featured in Tiger Rag, The Pink Panther and Born Free.
