UCB’s Simon Kahn is running in the London Marathon next month – 30 years after he last did it.

Simon, who plays 2nd cornet in the band, is hoping to improve on his previous time with lots of training in the final weeks.

So far, his schedule has included runs in a park in Santiago during a work trip to Chile. He’s now back home in Sussex and working on three 10-mile runs in five days.

Simon is raising money for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, the fundraising branch of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. It works to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies, raising money for items from toys to life-saving equipment.

In March 2017, Simon ran for the same charity in the Brighton Half Marathon.

You can donate to his London Marathon Just Giving page here.
