Uckfield Carnival and Eastbourne Bandstand

13 July 2020

An update from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport on 9 July 2020 has indicated that non-professional brass groups should not gather to rehearse or perform. As a result, Uckfield Carnival has decided not to have a procession on Saturday 5 September 2020.

Eastbourne Bandstand has announced it is opening from August on Thursday-Sundays. The programme will be tribute shows only. This means that Uckfield Concert Brass’s date on the bandstand on Wednesday 16 September 2020 is now not expected to go ahead.

Elderflower Fields Festival

9 June 2020

The new date for the Elderflower Fields Festival in September has also been cancelled because the legal position about live events is still unclear.

Uckfield Concert Brass has been asked to play at next year’s festival in May 2021.

Proms on the pitch

19 May 2020

We’re very sorry to announce that because of Covid-19 we’ve had to cancel our fireworks concert, Proms on the Pitch, at Uckfield Rugby Club on Saturday 18 July 2020.

As soon as we are able to rehearse and perform we will be planning some pop-up concerts around Uckfield.

Eastbourne Bandstand and Elderflower Fields

7 April 2020

Eastbourne Bandstand has cancelled all events during May. This means that UCB’s 1812 fireworks concert on 13 May 2020 will now not go ahead. The band has another booking at Eastbourne Bandstand on Wednesday 16 September 2020. We hope to see you there.

The Elderflower Fields Festival in May has been postponed until 11-13 September 2020. Uckfield Concert Brass hopes to take part in this event.

Dieppe

24 March 2020

Uckfield Concert Brass has cancelled its trip to Dieppe at the end of May 2020. We will let you know if this visit can be rearranged for later in the year.

The band has also cancelled its part in the VE Day concert in Uckfield Civic Centre on Friday 8 May 2020.

Rehearsals

Uckfield Concert Brass has cancelled its rehearsals on Tuesday 17 March and Tuesday 24 March because of the coronavirus.
