Storm stops Proms on the Pitch but show goes on
The forecast of high winds and rain for Saturday means Uckfield’s Proms on the Pitch cannot go ahead as planned.
But the show, a popular part of Uckfield’s summer, will now move indoors.
The organisers, including Uckfield Concert Brass, made the difficult decision today to cancel the outdoor event planned for the rugby club.
The storm conditions meant that the stage could not be put up and it would too dangerous to have fireworks for the proms finale.
A full refund will be offered to anyone who has already bought a ticket.
The event will now move to Holy Cross Church in Uckfield.
We hope you will join us for a great evening of music and singing.
You will still be able to hear soprano Jo Appleby, Uckfield Concert Brass, Holy Cross Children’s Choir and Uckfield Theatre Guild. Expect a concert with all the usual Last Night of the Proms fun and excitement.

- Please bring wine, beer and nibbles to enjoy during the concert.
- Tea and coffee will be provided during the interval in the Belmont Centre
